The Financial Academy Participates in Capital Market Institutions Forum 2023

The Financial Academy took part in the “Capital Market Institutions Forum 2023", which was organized by the Capital Market Institutions Committeein collaboration with the Capital Market Authority (CMA) under the theme of “Toward A Promising Capital Market."

The Forum addressed vital issues such as the most prominent investment opportunities and options in the public sector, the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation on the capital market products, and the future of real estate products in light of the present aspirations and challenges. 

Mr. Mana Al-Khamsan, the CEO of the FA, commented that the Academy's participation in the Capital Market Institutions Forum 2023 “emanates from its strategic role of developing human cadres for KSA financial sector and refining their capabilities, aligning with the targets of the Financial Sector Development Program, which is one the Kingdom Vision 2030 components."

During the Forum, the FA conducted two workshops. One of them dealt with the theme of “The Open Financial Future: Financial Services Transition to Sustainability and Interactivity", and was held in cooperation with the CMA. The second workshop, carried out in collaboration with the CMA and Saudi Exchange (Tadawul), addressed the “Single Stock Options "

The first workshop discussed the globally open banking services and open finance; the benefits of expanding use-cases from Open Banking to Open Finance; the data sets needed to enable these benefits; the additional opportunities for open data expansion; and the obstacles that prevented such an expansion.

The second workshop addressed the SSO and the relevant terminology; the difference between trading options and futures; SSO trading topics;  option pricing, volatility models and risks; how to combine all options to create multiple earnings; understanding option risk measurements; and hedging option risks.

The FA is an autonomous entity with an independent legal and administrative status that was established in 2020 as one of the initiatives of the Financial Sector Development Program  of the Kingdom Vision 2030. It aims to develop the financial sector human cadres and qualify fresh graduates planning to join the sector. The Academy's wide-ranging services cover all financial subsectors, mainly banking, finance, insurance and capital market.​
