3 Irtiqaa The Financial Sector Trainer Development Program

Based on the role of the Financial Academy (FA) in building and qualifying human capacities in the financial sector, which goes in line with KSA 2030 Vision’s goals of localizing and transferring knowledge through building national capabilities to be able to effectively contribute to knowledge development locally and internationally and achieve a competitive local economic development.
The Financial Sector Trainer Development Program “Irtiqaa” comes as one of the qualitative programs provided by the FA. The Program is based on a model that combines professional expertise and practical experience, as well as examining and analyzing the most popular local, regional and international case studies. It aims to enable the financial sector experts to upgrade their skills in areas of training; managing meetings, training workshops and panel discussions; and creating hands-on content.
The Program focuses on affording the opportunity to capitalize on the diversity of knowledge and experiences in the financial sector through attracting the financial and training talents needed by the sector from over 22 training sectors within the Financial Competency Index.

Program Content

The Trainer Development Program primarily seeks to provide a unique scientific experience by offering the participants several training options, starting with evaluating the capacities of each trainee independently. Then, considering the trainee’s practical experience, capabilities, skills, area of specialization and wishes, a development plan is designed by the program committee “Irtiqaa Committee”.

The training plan aims to improve each trainee’s skills including those related to goal-setting, professional competencies, diction, managing training workshops, meetings and panel discussions, in addition to mastering the modern training techniques. The training program, provided in cooperation with specialized international centers of excellence, also focuses on the practical application by the participants through developing new qualitative training programs that lie within the Academy’s scope of practice, especially developing the human capabilities in the financial sector.

Capacities and skills to be acquired by the end of the Program

  • Designing: Designing a training program, identifying the targeted competencies and measuring the period of learning.
  • Development: Developing a training program and content writing, preparing and presenting case studies, and drawing up orientation and benchmarking tests.
  • Presentation: Presenting training programs and providing presentations by mastering the voice tone control, diction, influencing, charisma, technical and storytelling skills.
  • Training: Training, simplifying concepts and offering gradual teaching, teaching adults, managing discussions, gauging education gaps, and meeting dialogue skills.
  • Diversity: Speaking to the social media platforms, disseminating knowledge through podcasts, getting involved in social media platforms, and addressing public gatherings whether in person or virtually.

Capacities and skills to be acquired by the end of the Program

  • Trainers and training experts and practitioners.
  • The applicant must be a Saudi national.
  • The applicant must have a BA or higher degree.
  • The applicant must be an academic, a practitioner, a holder of professional certificates in the relevant specialization, or a technical or behavioral trainer.
  • The applicant must have hands-on experience in his/her area of specialization.
  • It is preferable for an applicant to, at least, hold a membership of one professional body that is concerned with his/her field of specialization.

Added Value for Program Participants

Outstanding trainees will get the opportunity of directly cooperating in delivering the training programs and presenting the knowledge transfer events sponsored by the FA, which mainly relies on independent trainers in delivering over 200 training and knowledge products, with independents making up 65% of the Academy’s trainers.
