This workshop is delivered in partnership with the GCC Board Directors Institute (GCC BDI),This workshop reframes the concept of the “third generation” not as an inevitable cause of decline, but as a strategic test of resilience and an opportunity for renewal. As family businesses transition from founder-led enterprises to larger, multi-branch organizations, ownership becomes more dispersed, expectations diverge, leadership selection becomes more complex, and existing governance arrangements may no longer be sufficient to keep pace with these changes.
Through practical examples and interactive exercises, participants will explore the strategic risks that intensify across generations, along with the responses required from boards, owners, and executive management to turn these risks into opportunities for sustainable growth and long-term business continuity.
